A rather good night for The Emotional Life of Organisations...

The Emotional Life of Organisations has been named Highly Commended in the People, Culture & Management category at the 2026 Business Book Awards.
The award recognises the book as one of the standout titles in its category, following its selection as a finalist earlier this year.
The judges praised the book for tackling “an important but often overlooked aspect of working life: emotions and feelings in the workplace”, describing its central premise as courageous and highlighting its accessible writing, insightful case studies, practical exercises and useful tools.
That recognition means a great deal to me because it goes directly to the argument at the heart of the book. Organisations may talk the language of strategy, performance and data, but underneath all of that are human beings whose anxiety, confidence, resentment, pride, fear and hope shape what actually happens.
I’m delighted to see The Emotional Life of Organisations receive this recognition at the 2026 Business Book Awards.
